Controller / Accounting Manager

Job Description

Advent Aircraft Systems, Inc. has an opportunity for an experienced Controller or Accounting Manager comfortable in a small company environment. Working with a close-knit engineering, manufacturing and quality assurance team will be the norm. As a result, this position involves the range of activities listed below. The position reports to the company’s Managing Director and requires absolute integrity.

  • Supply chain management (as required to back up manufacturing)
    • procurement quantities and vendor selection
    • submitting request for quotes
    • creating and submitting purchase orders
    • following up on orders until received
  • Vendor management
    • entering vendor information, acquiring W-9’s
    • matching packing list receipts with invoices
    • paying invoices via check or credit card
  • Customer management
    • setting up customers
    • customer quoting
    • entering sales orders
    • invoicing product shipments
    • collections
    • assist with customer interactions/service
  • Payroll & HR
    • setup new employees and process bi-weekly payrolls
    • benefits administration including health, dental, vision, disability, life, 401K, Health Savings accounts
    • 1099 outside contractors
    • workers compensation
    • track employee vacation and sick time
    • employee expense reports
  • Financial Forecast and Cash flow projection
    • cash flow forecasting, spend plan updates
    • financial forecasts
    • annual budget
    • ad hoc financial analysis, as requested
  • Month end close
    • reconciling asset accounts including bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
    • financial statement preparation
    • comparison with prior years
    • updating 12 month rolling forecast
    • generating company's financial reports income statement, balance sheet and cash flows
  • Work with outside providers to provide employee and financial information, as needed
    • benefits providers
    • tax preparation
    • business and workers compensation insurance coverages and audits
    • Oklahoma sales and use tax
    • bank, loans, and credit cards
  • Shipping product (as required to back up manufacturing)
    • shipping documents including export paperwork if applicable
  • Assemble documents that are shipped with company products

Applicant needs to have the drive for accuracy in performing tasks with a "can do" mentality and work well with others in a dynamic, friendly and forward-thinking team environment. Reliable transportation, a clean criminal background and the ability to pass a drug test is necessary.
